Don's Plans

A pair of mandolins under construction.  The front one is a teardrop, and the back one is an F style.

Me after my first solo flight. The airplane is N7953G, a Cessna 150, and belongs to CWW.

Welcome to www.donsplans.com - your online source for plans and project ideas.

So who am I? I am a harebrained individual who just can’t seem to ever stop drawing up plans and coming up with ideas for projects.  I have way too many.  I have worn a number of hats, including Physics Teacher, Shop Teacher, Pilot, Mechanic, Luthier, Planetarium Director, Photocopier Technician, Preacher, Emergency Medical Technician, and general Hey Boy. Most of what I sell on this site has to do with Musical Instruments, simply because that is what I sell the most of. I currently work as an A&P mechanic with Garrett Aviation in Springfield, Illinois. I get to work on really cool airplanes, and get paid for it, too.

Educationally, I have a B.S. in Physics Education from Illinois State University, a A.A.S. degree from Illinois Central College, and an A&P Certificate from Lincoln Land Community College and the Federal Aviation Administration.  As you can tell, I like airplanes and musical instruments.

I hope you enjoy this site, and you find some of the stuff here to be useful.  Thanks, and have a nice day.
